REAL POWER
In thoughts words and deeds
seek, power, the human breeds
by tact, talisman, tenacity, and talent
arousing everything in men lying latent,
with tantra, mantra, propitiation, and prayer
posses man must power by any means. foul or fair.
Seeks he intensely the power phenomenal
physical, political, official and financial
to be the master and to boss over all forever
with plenty and pride earning him pleasure
Then he is sure, him, nothing can go amiss
that can fetch him happiness, peace, and bliss.
But tussle for the chair will wear him down
“Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown”
Happiness will run ahead, eluding him like a mirage
pain and frustration will certainly camouflage.
On a journey through many a scripture
and observing the acts displayed in nature
find we, to our wonder
man’s waywardness and blunder
of not divinizing own traits for power
he searches power underworldly blur
Power to endure, the power to tolerate
power to be fearless, the power to discriminate
power to withdraw and power to adjust
power to face, the power to judge, possess man must
to be led to peace, bliss and divine pleasure
as exhibited around adorning the nature
Tolerance is exhibited by a mango tree the mute
to the stone pelter, it sends down a sweet fruit.
Rivers merging with ocean teach the adoptability
Tortoise exhibits us how to keep senses in captivity
Swans picking up its food from mire and sludge
the discriminating power to man thus they divulge
The endurance of a banyan tree, a child’s fearlessness
divine power by practice and austerity man can harness
To face sudden shock-like the death of a dear one
man must develop the power to face seasoning the emotion
Power of judgment should shun
own likes and dislikes and be influenced by none.
