A Sight To Cite
P K Routray
Within my sight,
day and night
at dusk and dawn,
in moon and sun,
in rain and winter,
in spring and summer
dance a bunch of trees of Gulmohar.
Over shadowing the obstacles
boundary walls and electric poles
when my eyes are off from computer
catch my attention their splendid grandeur
breaking the dull drab monotony
feel I livrng with nature in harmony.
See I in those trees many arts superbly drawn
and as also artists themselves perform many an action.
With blooming flowers and fluttering birds glorifying the trees
give they me raptures joy dancing with strong or gentle breeze.
(N.B From my reading room cum working room these plants are visible.Their beauty inspire me. This poem is dedicated to them)
