Take pity on God
P K Routreay
All the religions have one Gospel to recall,
That the supreme lord is one and that is unequivocal.
In some religions there exists a belief,
that Supreme delegates to demigods the power and roles to get some relief.
However everything runs according to His direction,
and all the rhythm of the creation is kept in unison.
Supreme has to see from a minute particle to a whole cosmos,
May be, many a cosmos He may have to simultaneously engross.
He has to look after the creation, nourishment, sustenance and dissolution,
without breaking the rhythm of the mighty sun to minute electron.
Even supposing the Demigods have capability and authority,
But they have to consult the Supremo for doubts in such vast diversity.
Hence the super God the supreme must be too busy without rest,
Or else His creation will be in danger and get distressed.
A small deviation will break the rhyme and rhythm of the creation
Hence gigantic is His task definitely beyond our awestruck imagination.
That God might be worrying, working sleeplessly round the clock,
To mitigate our trivial problem we pray and flock.
For our greed, jealousy, ego and attachment we are selfish to our core,
We disturb Him off and on with our prayer in galore.
When we lose a pen or at the pain of a pin, we pray Him to help,
Expecting that He will run to our aid, we do nothing our self.
Infinite such prayers must be pouring on Him at every moment,
taxing Him, straining Him disturbing His peace and bliss blurring His judgment.
Let us take pity on Him for his vast work load,
We should help him at least by attending our owm problems or else he may explode.
