Punctuation

An ant stamped
period
on my page.
Inky footprints
Denoting new beginnings,
deaths.
Everytime a word
haunted by a ghost,
misspelt,
they made me write it out
three times.

Common commas, baffle me
the pauses in my head unreadable
Separate scenes, in fleeting dreams
don't follow a semi colon.
Should I dream a dream three times?

School reports that claimed
I was a delight to teach,
poured some other scorn on
ant stamped pages,

I didn't try to explain
about the nest
inside my desk.
