Come With Me

Of birds that call me wild
and wing above your water’s edge
Allow me, that I shall
fill myself full on the summers
of your misted sea scent.
To tread your tide torn shores
rest on rocks, that have long stood
the lashings
of your winters galloping storms.
Of the lives of many lost -
smashed upon your giant reefs
rising
where mermaids solemn
comb
their sea washed tresses - sirens
of your ebbing tidal turns.
Come with me
by warm sun sensed, or genteel shine of moon
for pleased
the sea is she
when admirers new
throw back their resistant veil of learning.
Gathering they, about
your swirling untamed magic
captivated deep, within
their new found love of passion...
