Paper Gymnasts

Do you remember
the cherry blossoms
scented on the bedroom floor.
Lipstick slogans
painted red against the sallow
of your skin.
A kiss
that slips offering from your lips.
Your texture unlined,
sculptured gently, held tightly
within my hungry fingertips.
Pink confetti
like delicate paper gymnasts
tumbling lazily.
Closing my eyes -
aware that my
thoughts move not as they did.
Tomorrow I shall pick blackberries
today was simply for saying:
'I do'!

I've often asked myself does the poem find the poet? In your case it is simply true. Another well worded poem PoppyS. Very much liked by me.
