So many sad events this week.
That terrible calamity of gross, historical proportions. The loss of so
many beautiful, simply innocent lives never expecting their life would
end that day by the hands of such cruel, inhumane people. And, those
cruel, inhumane people. The ones that were "religious zealots". Oh yes,
they were religious zealots alright. They were reportedly seen, all of
them, throwing money away in 4 strip clubs the night before they were
set to die. Just..terrible. All I can say. So..terrible.
I can't even begin to explain how terribly confused and hurt myself,
and everyone around me was the day it happened, and those feelings of
being lost have not let up since.
If we go to war, and it lasts longer than 2 years, Austin will be
drafted. Many men, and women I will have known in my short lifetime,
may be drafted into war, and may be killed before their time is up. Why
can there not be peace in this world? How can people do such things,
such terrible, terrible things and think it's alright??
My family is nuts. I'm already nuts. Stressed to the max. Crushed by
all of these terrible events. Compounded by the need I have to make it
alright, but knowing I can't. The terror that I might lose friends,
family members in this war everyone knows is coming.
If you're reading this, I give you my love. I give you my hope, and
blessings, and I hope they may heal your pain, or help cover it with
warmth even if it's just for a moment.
I love you. You're all beautiful people, and I hope with all of my
heart, that no one you knew or loved died that day. September 11th,
2001 may it be forgotten in those people's minds it affected the
most.
I close with John Lennon's "Imagine", because now, I can truly
understand what he meant.
Imagine-John Lennon
Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...
Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
Imagine no possessions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer,
but I'm not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.
