I can see through all my windows,
but my doors are fastened tight.
I have lots of great ideas,
but no room to fly my kite.
My life is heavily guarded,
and I follow written rules.
It's said they cannot deal with me,
at all the local schools.
I cannot freely roller blade,
Or skate or ride my bike.
Without my guard I'm not allowed,
To go wherever I like.
I'm never denied of what I want,
Yet I never can choose on my own.
I have to learn to be satisfied,
I cannot argue or moan.
Though I am dumb I am not dim,
Though deaf I am not blind.
The world around me hems me in,
Imprisoned inside my mind.
