Oxford Blue

Oxford Blue
I had this great big thing
With this little small town flirt,
But now she's gone away
Still wearing my Oxford Blue shirt.
I bet it's not tucked in,
It's flapping around her thighs;
Top two buttons strategically undone,
A treat for some new boys eyes.
I'm not saying that I'm jealous,
I'm not saying that I'm hurt,
I never really cared for her,
But I loved that Oxford Blue shirt.

Pick of the Day
I've gone way back into the archive for today's Pick. This is probably the most read poem at ABCtales evenings over the years - and everyone seems to love it. I can see why!

I agree!
Short, expressive with a twist and totally relatable... certainly deserves the golden cherries.
