The Clever Little Bike (IP)

There was a thief who stole a bike –
the little bike he did not like
the thief who pedalled him away
– determined that he would not stay
upon his back, but come to grief,
and soon was shaken off, that thief
fell on his knees upon the road –
the bike he could not whip or goad
and so the robber gave a kick,
and beat him with a knobbly stick –
more useless thus he made his theft,
the dented bike abandoned, left
down on a verge, forsaken, lost:
the little bike knew what he’d cost
and rubbed the bell upon his nose
and such a noise at once arose,
that people came to find out whose
this bike that made such awful racket,
and saw upon his painted jacket
his postcode was engraved to see;
his owner traced, jumped up with glee
and fetched his bike, and got him mended
ans so my story’s neatly ended!

Hello Rhiannon,
Hello Rhiannon,
Another little goodie. I don't know how you do it in the time but somehow you always manage to give us something enjoyable.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
This was fun to read, and a good idea, having the owners details scratched onto the bike.#
