Glittering evening sunlight casts
banding shadows, stark contrasts –
golden gleam, and flowers vivid.
Earlier, skies were sombre, livid –
hours of drizzle, torrents rushing,
soaking thirsty soil, and lashing
windows, roofs; the clouds have parted,
the stage is bright, the curtain’s lifted –
laughing world, with burbling birdsong:
absorb the freshness, sparkling calm,
evening sunlight, soothing balm.

"curtain's lifted, laughing
"curtain's lifted, laughing world" is really a step change and in my opinion the best line. Well done.

A wonderfully refreshing read, Rhiannon, which I thank you for. Again, this has your hallmark of wonderfully graphic descriptions;-)
Just beautiful.
