Six New Beginnings (IP)

Vile violence spread and smothered good, (Genesis 6:5 - 8:22)
but then was drowned in global flood:
the rescued few began anew
to tend the earth (live as they should?).
Enslaved in Egypt, desperation, (Exodus 3: 7-17 etc)
rescued out of harsh oppression:
a new beginning – God’s salvation
displayed to them and every nation.
Their Saviour later they ignored, (2 Chronicles 36:15-23)
so conquest by Babylonian horde;
for 70 years, then, as foretold
returned again, their land restored
for new beginning – serve their Lord.
Messiah, Saviour, soon would come (Jeremiah 31:33; Luke 1:29)
– new saving covenant began,
a way was opened, access won,
available to everyone.
Those who receive, tell of its worth – (1 Peter 1:3-9 etc)
a new beginning, life, new birth,
with cleansing, pardon – from his death,
they’re strengthened for this life on earth.
New beginning still we wait – (2 Peter 3:11-13 etc)
final one, at future date:
evil he’ll eradicate,
then eternal healthy state.

Yes Rhiannon,
Yes Rhiannon,
You certainly know your scriptures and I envy the religioius conviction that informs all your work.
