Doggone It Ace

You’re all done on this earth
Ace, barking
no longer needed
to harass mail carriers,
nor scare them frightfully
still while you munch
pant legs dressed
in brand-name tags.
They'll miss that mouthful
of teeth, your frenetic
fury, black and white pooch.
Yes Ace,
doggone they will.
