Darling – I want to write
you this love song
of faeries on a limb
eagles hasty in the wind
and sunlight sparkles
in your eyes.
I never desired to be a King
nor whaler on the sea
just a husband and a lover
with secrets for you and me.
Your face that launched
my love for you – and I do
your hand in mine – dear
ever and forever.

Richard, I really love the
Richard, I really love the subtlety. It's as if every second stanza begs to be stolen:
"of faeries on a limb
eagles hasty in the wind",
"I never desired to be a King
nor whaler on the sea",
"Your face that launched
my love for you - and I do"
...alas, it's marked as copyright.
