In a Roundabout Way

Bless the man who endures
the ailment of past operations
and other means of duress

those who felt the slings of pain
and lack of health -- their bodies
barely able to endure the strain.

Bless those ladies who help
their men in these times of need --
a shining in their love
a patience in their hearts.
