Shake with life in the wild,
within the breeze
of a special invitation.
Pause for a moment and listen
to it swinging high --
that birch limb provides space
for visiting feral feathers
scrambling in night-time hunting.
Upon the broadness of branch
creatures in various sizes continue
seeking refuge and perch proudly
as summer cloaking turns
to wintry baring –
all part of a magnificent plan.

… but the signs of the new
… but the signs of the new cloaking to come are there in the buds!
I like the encouragement to pause a moment, and listen, look at something more closely, Richard, and 'visiting feral feathers' has its humour! Rhiannon
