Common Sense for Modern Ears part 3

During
the 2nd Bush Presidency, we suffered a constitutional crisis... the
events of 911 magnified by omni-present propaganda created a leadership
culture of (often insincere) fear and aggression. Afghanistan then Iraq
were invaded... Torture dungeons were opened in Cuba and Romania, where a
similar institution once gave Porphyric birth to Count Dracula...
Finally, after losing a tribal war and gutting our remaining
constitutional protections and losing a war to an Arabic tribe: for a
final act(instead of sawing a woman in two) they revealed they were
leaving the economy next to a black-hole, in need of a massive
green-blood transfusion from the people- who were livid, ready for 'the
revolution,' or far preferably 'Renaissance,' which probably did start there, now that we look back with
history's hind-sight.
Entering the lists almost like a political Jackie Robinson, President Barack Obama(by various means and methods) turned the economy back to sterling, closed
the Romanian torture centres.... and to the horror of women
everywhere, eventually made peace with Cuba and her terrible, wonderful cigars.
But we still don't have a constitution the authorities live by- nor do
we as a people feel the intellects in charge properly understand the
wisdom of the founding fathers- but at the end of the day, the only way
we can have a ruling constitution(not a theatric holy relic...) is if we
amend it: i.e. if the people in power do their job and give us a
constitution- because we don't have one we live by realistically- you
can say it's "a living document" but that's what folks call a "cop
out..."
To get back to why our rights have decreased and why democracy
was so fragile that 911 practically knocked it over- we need to realize that Democracy
only lives in public... the leadership culture of paranoid secrecy and iron-fisted control- by Newtonian law creates back-lash: chaos, financial drain, work-place apathy, market-place depression, large-scale bullying and dirty tricks('we commend to ourselves our own poisoned chalices' - Shakespeare Let's make the whole of America even greater than before- through real reform and innovation. Let's go places.
