God bless America

         American youth know the lessons of the Cold War...  Books like the Communist Manifesto seem to us naive and of course, dangerous...   Fidel Castro surely at times meant well, like most leaders.  All but God are human.  May God bless America 

           I did use what intellectual influence I had to encourage the detente with Cuba...  being among the political school that wants America in greater harmony with Europe...   I swear in verifiable honesty that I never sought a Marxist-style revolution and that if I cooperated with socialists in those days, it was because I thought the battle over these questions had been so firmly won by the right, that there had been an over-reaction...  Generally ours was a glorious if oft futile struggle by the youth to bring genuinely new ideas to the surface of American consciousness

              Regarding the recount issue, I stake complete neutrality...  being a Democrat who was near the fire in the Sanders movement and afterward.  And it brings my heart joy to hear of Romney being considered for Secretary of State...  He is a Christian gentleman who since his last White House run has come to a greater connection with the common people.  His influence would be egalitarian... and toward a greater harmony with France and Europe.  God bless America!
