Juneteenth Ruminations

In most minds, there can be no doubt that modernity's progress has liberated us all to a not insignificant degree; It has liberated us from backbreaking work whether in Northern factories or on Southern Slave plantations. The African American has not generally received their due economically or in liberty; but the half-payment pleases many who are prosperous even if generally not as prosperous as their white neighbors. We should award every US citizen fifty thousand dollars to give us an economic stake; and a hundred thousand for every over half African descent American; long overdue slavery reparations. But we cannot ignore there is slavery in modern America; the enslavement of political dissidents and lunatics; the line is blurred at times; the mass incarceration of Americans of all ethnicities in for profit megapolis'. Let us seek a liberated humanity and America, fellow freedom seekers.
