A Letter to God

Great is your power and mysterious your ways. Even as I love Christ and creation... I know and fear the power of God! And even as I have enjoyed blessings and divine instruction... surely have I suffered divine and human punishment for my perceived tendency to rebel against God and authority, God's ordination, when this has not been the intention of my soul.
Yet, despite the anger of men and the occasional wrath of the heavens, I have recovered many times... not due primarily to my own strength or ability, but largely due to the favor of God. Likewise, that little which I know, I have been able to learn due to the divine light and the excellent if imperfect order of creation.
Though I am so maligned, I do not entertain and tempt like the song-bird, but over the years have not only given these matters serious owl-like reflection, but have taken my learning from his Holiness Father Francis, from Obama, from Trump, from Kennedy... from men whom God has elevated to the heights as wise men to be heeded. I have pored over the bible and prayed often... I have in my holier moments received revelation from God.
And yes I know that I have my sins but does the bible not say: "All men have sinned and fall short of the glory of God?" Is is not apparent to the discerning mind that even the greatest of men are imperfect, i.e. in some limited sense "sinful" despite their strength and virtues?
In conclusion, I do not seek to attack civilized order and authority, but to advance it in some small way... In the days of the Sanders movement, when I most articulately laid out my vision for reform, I made it very clear that I sought not to attack the system of capitalism or to, by rebellious hand, re-distribute wealth, but rather I implored this nation to be as great in mercy as it is great
And yet I have offended the power and thus the heavens. And so again, I implore your mercy, your consideration, and your understanding.
