On "Liberalism"

Not believing in absolute democracy, I neither support nor oppose the democratic party, nor the Obama Administration(actually I've been mildly impressed by the latter.)
But a true "liberal" agenda means that people who drive 300,000 miles trucks(and don't have power-hungry billionaires for backers like Scott Brown,) can go and see a doctor to save their lives, even if they don't have the money. It means that education(which is fundamentally the spread of reason and liberalism against barbarism, greed and superstition,) will have funding and state support. It means those who choose to alter their minds through low-danger chemicals like marijuana may do so peacefully. It means that if you're hit by a terrible earthquake or hurricane(even if you're black in New Orleans,) that society will make it a priority to help you, and alleviate your suffering.
And what is the cost of this? Under intelligent leadership, because we live in a nation of billions and trillions, NOTHING for the middle class and lower, except the expectation to abide by rules of civilization some modern Americans may find bewildering. See, law and order has nothing to do with the donut-munching neanderthals called the Jackson County "justice" system(who are busy sniffing around medical pot gardens.) The concept of a state law was a little much for their primitive brains.
But we do need law, order, and civilization... morality, humanity and "liberalism."
