After Christ was brought to him by the mob, Pontius Pilate questioned and reluctantly crucified Jesus.
After the death of Lord Christ, his older brother James converted and supported the Christian community, disturbing the 'order' of imperial rule. Pilate like-wise executed Saint James... but Saint James was a far more worldly man, beloved in imperial Rome. Pilate was dismissed in disgrace and never again held office.
Our Christian community continued and thrived... carried to the four corners of the world not by the sword but by gentle words and deeds: 'conquering' Rome by the conversion of the Emperor Constantine... and America by the flight of the pious Pilgrims. It still endures in a state of rich tradition and innovation.
