Statement: Defense

Now they say I was an assassin...   but I never was.  Quite on the contrary, my original crime was democracy in a form that wasn't seen as acceptable: expressing democratic opinions about foreign relations, during peace time. Had it been war time, this was a different question.  Anyway, I came to great power which I gave up to save many millions of lives... to avert nuclear war. Many millions of Americans are alive because of my forebearance...  you are whole-limbed with your families, and I became disabled for you.  That's the truth...  at the height of Sanders movement power, a Russian jet carrying nuclear arms did a barrel-roll over an aircraft carrier...  I had to choose between power...  and forbearance.  Neither the Clintons nor Trump showed any similar sacrifice so they remained strong and now could kill me, but you're honor-bound to defend me, even if you don't like me...  and not just my physical survival, as you've been doing...  I need my legal rights to minimal payment for my intellectual property rights so I can be like everyone else and this problem can go away
