Statement: Democratic Party issues

Greetings to my friends, readers and colleagues, conservatives, liberals...
To all of you, from every walk of life...
This letter, however, especially regards my fellow Democratic Party members. I hope I have some useful advice to offer... forgive any clumsiness of form, for this isn't coming out of some well-funded mercenary office.
First of all, to speak to ideals... how do we protect the vulnerable now? Like it or not, one of the best tools we have is to work with Republicans... to build and expand existing bridges with Republicans who are willing to work with us... including Trump and his followers. Secondly, however, I'll make this point: the filibuster can maybe, theoretically, be abolished by 'nuclear option' : but the powerful Senate letter, by the traditions of our democracy, cannot... not if we're keeping traditions of long standing. To keep matters, clear, the filibuster is a 'check and balance...' and I would not support its abolishment.
Any Senator, if their conscience is stricken to a point of moral crisis, can file a letter that halts most ongoing business across the country... This is no time for those letters, but just in case, we should prepare. Lives are on the line.
Secondly, to speak of politics, this is no time to mess around if the Democratic Party is to have a strong governing future starting next election. Ellison is an intelligent man... you know, there was a lot of laughing about this Trump for President phenomena that shouldn't have gone on... It certainly wasn't from me. But let's not be politically correct: it's a luxury we can't afford. We need to consider all options but, at first glance, Howard Dean would seem to be just the leader we need... hot for the job... His dinner-party movement galvanized the people and intelligentsia, and came one scream short of The White House. Personally, being a dark-horse candidate, I do not want and would not accept the chairmanship, but I would certainly consider another position with the party.
Politically speaking, how do we make our case? I'd say that language is very important: it's important to be able to speak in the language of the rural people, the language of business, in Spanish(I speak it...) in the language of African-Americans, to break down communication barriers. This is important politically, and it's important to get to the truth of things.
The art of the political ad is also something that needs attention: ads are very effective, and they're an important form of modern communication... Music, as shown by scientific studies, is very important to the human psyche and soul... Clinton's 'eye of the Tiger' ad, was one of the best of the campaign season... the potential for this line is great... as is outreach through athletes, coaches, musicians and pop stars: 'revolution radio' etc, Hollywood stars including comedians... politics is a popular art... though it should also be emphasized that, on both sides of the aisles, we need to embrace substantive new ideas and innovative solutions.
For now, that's all. God bless you America
friendly regards,
Sean L Nelson
