#ShiftTheNorm
I was just listening to a man on MSNBC who, while being taking seriously(understandably but incorrectly) was talking about 'normalcy' as a required criterion for political office. The fact is that Churchill, M.L.K., Kennedy, etc.... all had documented mental health issues. Very few great leaders are normal... not even President Obama if you really think about it.
Regarding the subject of political ambition, people both dismiss and over-estimate mine. I'm actually focused on attaining my private rights and minimal damages for abuse, as well as minimal compensation for the plethora of my intellectual property that's been used without payment. For example, I haven't received a check for my book sales in years... but that's a non-payment I'm possibly willing to live with. There are others that I'm not.
I was a strong supporter of Dean's 'dinner party' movement in my youth, and think his bid for the Democratic chairmanship should be considered. As for President elect Trump, I didn't vote for him. I worked hard to elect the Democratic nominee for altruistic reasons. That said, I'm not that interested in partisan stale-mate... and, as a point of fact, I've actually had positive dialogue with the Trump camp since well before the election.
