Fauxlebrity

Look at me celebrity,
A product of reality,
I’ll sell myself for any fee,
And act it out on bad TV.
Oh Paparazzi I’ll agree,
Just tell me who I need to be,
And what the readers want to see,
I’ll take these off if that’s the key.
Hey look at me Fauxlebrity,
Clad in clothes they lent to me,
I’ll be the star I’m meant to be,
In all these jewels and finery.
No talent or ability,
Self obsessed with vanity,
I pray that it’s my face they see,
In every gossip magazine.
At all events I must be seen,
To slide out from a Limousine,
Smile a while and pout and preen,
And talk of nothing else but me.
Fauxlebrity, Celebrity,
Attention craving wannabe,
I need addiction therapy,
My drug of choice publicity.
Catastrophe, calamity,
Now no one has a use for me,
An out if date commodity,
Back to how I used to be.
Redundancy, obscurity,
And waning popularity,
Reveals my true identity,
A narcissistic nobody.
