Bathed In Dreams

Through night sleep where sky lends itself to pleasant scenes...

just the idea of my humble bed acts like vehicle carrying me,

where I feel secure flying without wings,

 

bedroom walls a shade of yellow for this is my womb

where I feel safe, this sanctuary soothing worries away

in shades of bliss.

 

Soaring high having gained leisurely pace, then!

Forgetting for a moment with blink of eyes,

showers emerging from clouds traversed,

 

these encounters eagerly encouraged as cocooned

I both loop and curl, till billow we become entwined

like sheets of woven cotton-wool...protected from

Zephyr's gentle alien breeze, language that puts me at ease,

 

heart guided by tumult flock of beating wings transported

to my world of dreams...solitude is not theirs to see for night

has nearly shed its skin, morning seizes captive visions,

slumbering here...this peace within.

I have to say that flying is a constant dream that I have, even seeing vehicles flying too. It seems so easy just to run and take off and having no fears.

The other night I dreamt I was in heaven Jenny. Seriously now. I was rudely awoken to this place again. The dream was just so beautiful, just like Van Morrison sings, and we'll watch the ferry boats and they'll get high, on a bluer ocean agains tomorrow's sky. Sweet thing... Your dreams are also very vivid and colourful filled of joy and peace.

I don't know what to make of of my dream. Could be good, could be bad? And just before this virus business started.

There were less than a handful of these fantastic dreams but the "other place" has featured a lot. Very bad absolutely terrible.

Hi Tom,

I think dreams are such wonderful places to visit, where would we be without them? To be able to escape the sad realities of this world, even for just the night makes life so much better.

Perhaps your dreams are telling you that you're wishing for a better world to live in, somewhere that's more natural. Technology I know can be useful in some ways, but it can also be destructive too and that's frightening.

Let's hope this virus doesn't hang around too long. You take care of yourself and thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts which I enjoyed reading.
