Inspired By Mother Nature

I'm encouraged to smile when

connecting with wild nature,

each mountain peak stirring

impressions of curvaceous

creation;

 

deep caves beneath capacious

gorges pensively wait to be

explored, where stalagmites

stand to attention under half

moon arches.

 

Each curve of her snaking

stream and river meanders;

cradling young from surge

of rapids, under a waterfall

cascading in rapture.

 

In untamed forests abounding,

secrets bursting fourth in spring;

mother is fertile once again, she

enriches senses of expectancy;

 

each naked tree branch will be

clothed in summer's finery,

emanating radiance of greens,

preserving atmosphere for all

that swim, walk and fly above

and upon the earth.

An abundant poem Jenny. Nothing can hold nature back, especially at this time of year, the sense of expectancy is everywhere, bursting buds and busy birds. Very apt for mother's day weekend.

you're spot on with your thoughts. The creation of life is so important in the grand scheme of things, from the father sowing the seeds, to the mother giving birth, and in that moment something magical does happen.

Hi insert,

I couldn't resist putting pen to paper when I saw the I P this week. I was just thinking while in the garden which female inspires me, then I thought about the new buds appearing and how soon the naked branches would be dressed in leaves come summer. Like you said, Mother Nature's busy.

Also my partner''s granddaughter had a little baby girl this time last year. Now she's one and doing so well. She's fascinated by everything she sees around her, and is just beginning to walk. It's all such a miracle to me and a reminder of how another little human will one day grow to play her part in the world. I hope she too loves nature.

Hi Paul,

glad you picked up on the caves. We always think of nature from what we see above the earth, yet there's a whole other world that has a beauty all of its own when thinking of those unexplored grottos. It's years since I visited Chedder Caves, yet I recall feeling moved by this world where cave man might have dwelt once.

I was blown away by your comment of the poem having: such rich and evocative imagery.
