Moment In Time

Florida 1990
Fragile breezes dance across my face as
Ocean waves shimmy a light belly dance,
gyrating these shores where many have
wandered leaving their invisible mark,
treasure trove of memories that delight those
times passed. Heat burns down scorching as
I lay on soft sand – hands creating designs,
fingers burrowing each grain velvet to touch,
tide drifts in and out like my lucid visions,
sinking further into sleep flickering sunlight
glimmers like shards of broken glass upon my
closed eyes; so relaxed am I in faraway dreams,
time melting away...sound becoming almost lost,
a fleeting distant echo in the back of my mind,
reminding me of reality in half conscious state,
swell in my palms now, feeling nothing but calm.

A vivid picure of totally relaxing in the warmth of a sandy beach. I liked the picture of 'hands creating designs, fingers burrowing each grain velvet to touch'. Rhiannon

Hi Jenny
Hi Jenny
I love lying by the beach and watching and listening to the waves. And what better if you have soft sand and a beautiful blue sky and nice weather to got iwth it. Your poem brings back a lot of memories to me too.
