While gentle guitars
of the night,
strum out their
melodic Flamenco,
romance fills the air
and lovers walk the
old cobbled streets
hand in hand,
jasmine carried on the
heat of humid passions...
their hearts beating
swift and rapid,
aromas of Paella
fill the air of little
side street restaurants,
the heat of the night
lures sun...bronzed bodies
to sit and relax,
they share a pitcher of
Sangria and talk of their
future dreams of tomorrow,
as the moon's fullness sits
high in the sky...the stars
twinkle to the gentle sounds
of Romanoe Anonimo.

Well done, on the cherries, Jenny. More than deserved...and unfortunately I don't know the tune, but will look it up. I just love the Spanish guitar, too;-)

A real poem for the senses, Jenny. So many sights and smells intertwine in this poem to make it beautiful. Well done on the cherries!

Thought this was really
Thought this was really lovely, Jenny. Very romantic, I could smell the smells of the street, the aroma of food seeping through cafe doorways, see people sitting at tables outside, drinks in hand, eye to eye, maybe in love or dreaming of it, the last of the day's sun going down and a a handsome young flamenco guitarist striking up... lovely atmosphere and imagery. I have to say that in the last year your writing has improved beyond recognition. Well done.

Will do, Jenny. I love
Will do, Jenny. I love spanish guitar and flamenco music - especially the dancers and the castinets, love the way the young women tie their hair and everything about it.
I'm okay by the way, thanks. Hope you are too.

Hi! jenny, well deserved cherries!
Loved it all, made me think of Spanish
costume, I have laying my wardrobe and castanets.
Plus a tambourine, bought love trying not in costume,so long,in a sale, wear high heels in a sale. Fascinating to watch. Mine likes "Hose Feliciano" he has. And our elderly group, watched Flamenco and couple dancing fab: Was it "Blue Spanish Eyes". Yes, never been abroad, but like Sue Dinum says, I can get a vivid
picture of all by your poem. Have you been to Spain then! What is anonimo?
JHave a good bank holiday.
