That's Life The Conclusion

After working out a time to pick up my stuff, I finally got it all back and set up home with Kevin. We had a good year of living together. He was a fine man and I got on well with his friends who welcomed me into their group.
I never found out what happened to that family I lived with, to be honest I never wanted to know, but I thank my lucky stars that Kevin came along when he did and saved my sanity.
It was hard at first, having to sort out my benefits, because now I wasn't entitled to free rent as I was sharing with this man, but it didn't matter anymore, because if I required anything Kevin always made sure I had what I needed.
We had many a happy holiday down at Peington and other holidays. He loved to water ski, I wasn't one for being pulled around by a speed boat, not being a very good swimmer and preferred being on dry land.
Eventually I did get a ground floor flat, it was a dream come true and gave me the opportunity for the first time, to live in my own way and not have anyone dictating to me.
Kevin actually proposed to me, when my divorce came through, but I declined, not wishing to jump into another marriage so soon.
I continued to live in the flat for about four years, where there were many shared moments with my son, friends and family, but of course that's just another story.
The end.

It's been a fascinating read Jenny. I wonder what happened to the odd landlady in the end, and why she was so eager to see the back of you

Hi, Jenny,
Hi, Jenny,
What a pity this story has come to an end, I was just getting into it. I thought it was going to be much longer somehow. But I am glad that per ardua ad astra you found happiness with Kevin. It certainly was a strange house you were embroiled in and I guess she must have twigged you wanted somewhere better hence her bad treatrment of you at the end.
Best Wishes,
HW

Hi Jenny
Hi Jenny
Thanks for sharing your story with us. I'm glad it worked out. I expect that woman realised that you had dobbed her in to the housing people and that is why she wanted you out. Do you still have contact with Kevin?

Unforgettable experiences. At least your son wouldn't remember them, except to know maybe that there was a lot to be thankful for escaping. Rhiannon

Jenny, all's well that end's well, thank goodness...and I've just noticed my dear friend, Luigi, has pipped me to the post with that one. Never mind. It is so appropriate I think it can bear being repeated
I am so very thrilled the whole of this got the accolades it deserved, not only with the cherries, but with all the wonderful comments you have received, for this remarkable piece of writing.
