They’re closing all our libraries
Putting a dam in the stream
Prisoners are not allowed to read
And workers have no right
To dream
Aspirations are neutered
The government say it’s so
We can’t have an army
Of workers in the know
The rich were born to rule
The poor should know their place
We were born to serve
The inbred bastard race
The royals play their ace
Every fucking year
Wave that Union Jack
Sing that anthem clear
Don’t question the obvious
Never address your fears
Work until you die
It’s been like this for years
Build a bonfire pile it high
Throw in things you want to burn
A little knowledge is far too much
You are not allowed to learn
The establishment hold the strings
We’re the puppets on the stage
They’re scorching our planet
Where is all the rage
The bankers are all laughing
The world goes up in smoke
The Rich are still smiling
And we don’t get the joke
History has taught us nothing
And time it still flies
Millions of people have died
For a handful of eternal lies

Will we ever learn?
Will we ever learn?
I think you sum up so well what many of us feel.
