She said she was seeing another man

I said maybe it’s the drugs

She tried not to laugh

I tried to pretend she was joking

He has such great presence she said

So does Father Christmas I replied

She scorned my refusal to be serious

But still she laughed again

He has plenty of drive she beamed

Has he got a steering wheel up his arse

And wheels for legs

She groaned …but still laughed

If he is what you want I said

You must go and be happy

She was shocked at this response

She stopped laughing

There was no other punchline

And no more laughing…..
