IN THE COMPANY OF STRANGERS.
(Love on the dance floor)
sneak
Her persistence conveys true love.
Seduced by nothing more than a winning smile.
Deep inside she knows.
Every Saturday morning she makes the trip.
Cheering him on, willing him to win.
In awe of his natural manly grace.
He leads the field in his sport.
He'll never notice her.
She'll always leave defeated.
The whining motors from her electric wheelchair will drown her
frustration once again.
I pick up his jacket from the rain sodden pitch and hand it to him as
he heads for the showers.
He winks and grins. I know tonight will be a good night.
We'll head for distant towns in victorious mood.
We'll be ourselves in the company of strangers.
The heart-wrenching thud of electric beats drowning our frustrations as
we incite love on the dance floor...
