CONSPIRACY OF ONE.

She says her dads an alien.
She's a teenage space cadet.
She really is the strangest -
girl I ever met.
I found her in a library.
She was researching her plight.
She spewed out facts and figures.
Perhaps she could be right?
I asked about her theory.
Theoretically, she said,
none of us are real'
'We're just the souls of the dead.'
Uncertainty was mounting.
There's 'strange' and there's 'insane'
I dived into the depths -
of her Coca Cola brain.
Conspiracy agendas.
A New world order speech.
Misinformation theories.
She had so much to teach.
But time, she sighed, is weighted.
The forces are aligned.
My father is an alien.
The 'domineering' kind.
As serious as coma.
She said she had to go.
Her cover was important.
Walls have ears you know?
She smiled and left me trembling.
A weakness in my knees.
I should have shouted - 'Stop Her' -
but complied with 'Silence Please!'
My work now sadly over.
Time-travel close at hand.
I waited until nightfall -
for my UFO to land.
I returned to my planet -
with my earthly gotten gain.
Her conspiracy still raging -
in my artificial brain...
