I look up into the night,
And see the stars shining so bright.
Twinkling like winking eyes,
The stars tell no lies.
Much mystery does the sky hold,
Mysteries that run deep and cold.
I would fly among them,
See all their wonders large and slim.
Earthbound am I,
And yet I would fly.
I would see the planets twirl,
And their clouds swim and swirl.
I would see a hurtling comet,
And cheering I'd jump on it.
If I could I would see every world,
For the universe is a beautiful tapestry, waiting to be unfurled.
But I must be content,
With the life I've been sent.
Earthbound am I,
And yet I would fly.
