Now this is not to say that the rest of the world is united against America, England, and Israel. It is also not to say that a strong alliance between US, England, and Israel may not be able to able to fend off an economic attack from the rest of the world. It is just to say that our economic strategy of helping out only a few elites in foreign countries, elites who are often minorites in another country and elites who are often hated may not be the best strategy in the world although it may be efficient. Jesus Christ had a different strategy. He empowered the people who were often rejected by the society. He empowered the poor, the prostitutes, the tax collectors. Later he empowered doctors for he was a spiritual and physical doctor in one sense. He was much more. He was God, bestowing his grace on people. So if the missionaries are in sync with the government, there is a great advance in strategy. A few other points here. Some people will say, "Why not do A and also B." This is the "both and" strategy. Such startegies are intensely costly and one will be stuck "in the middle" in which case it is better to do nothing at all. Others will say, "How about we approach the interested parties and negotiate with them one by one?" This is an intensely costly scenario also and in the end, it may backfire on us. One against All... in the end, one wins but at great cost.
