Lying where you once slept

Laying where you once slept,
your last warmth now left the pillow.
I'm drowning in a bed,
smothered by the quilt.
All this space,
So much room.
Still I lie in your spot,
hoping to be close to you again.
you'll never come back to my bed though.
it will remain half empty.
and I shall remain cold.
Alone in the bed
drowning in the emptyness
Swamped by my loss
