The Shadows Lie

The shadows lie,
Unlit,
Untouched,
Waiting to be seen by eyes
As dark as they
To draw them in,
To evil,
To be kept in

The dark, away from light
And its goodness,
It burns,
It clears away the dark

The evil is removed
The light shines whole
The dark disappears
The light moves on

The dark returns.
