My Routine

Tonight the moon’s what I’d call bright
And I’d call this a cold night.
This is whisky, this is ice.
I’m out in the garden.
It’s nice.
Looking at the moon.
The moon has what I’d call a halo
The stars are out but they’re pale, though.
The distance between the moon and this ring
Is mathematics. That’s not my thing. No.
I’m just looking.
At the moon.
