It is after five, so there are few people about, just me and my wife, 30 minutes each way, just us and the ducks, and the ducks aren’t doing much.
On the way back I watch my hand and arm, their eccentric mannerisms as I walk, they are wild, unconstrained, free. Weird.
Weird is what they would seem to most people, which is why they only appear here. I am unmasked, I am free, my true self. I can temporarily abandon the 24/7/365/lifetime method actor role as ‘Terrence the not too abnormal’.
Here only the ducks can see, and they don’t judge me.
