For my beautiful wife; thanks for all the love.
When life's waterfall is finally dammed
and even hope's faint trickle has been dried,
will all the memories we shared be damned
and hidden, where the dead alone can hide?
When the hour glass has served its time
and every mortal grain has tumbled through,
will lover's souls be joined and at this time,
will you join me and I once more, join you?
If this be so, then hasten me to peace;
I'll take your hand and take my leave too wait.
Let go my mortal shell, save for one piece;
enfold my heart and trust the rest to fate.
