Life As A Movie

It stretches back behind me,
this life as a movie.
An ageing actress,
clinging to a long-lived litany
of postulating parts,
and reversible roles.
In the meager musings
of this meandering mind.
The fumbling, fornicating,
fretting
over each thumping footstep,
frozen in time.
It is here,
that I re-enact those roles;
Here I am-
a long suffering lover,
mis-modeled mother,
creative klutz,
impudent daughter.
The jackleg jumble
of jaded jobs;
(Harsh words and hatred,
those impervious sods!)
Quite a monstrous movie,
I have created!
Yet here,
with these faded photos
spread out before me,
and muddled memories pour forth
from a miscalled mind.
I see not the blinding rightness
of being wronged.
But the spaces between;
The inundating,
undulating,
radiating,
all-encompassing,
never-ending,
future bearing,
Love.
