A great soul ascended

Small souls diminish
But great souls never cease to be
They guide the way
Helping others shine
As one candle lighting many

Returning to the land of our fathers
A land of changeless seasons
A light ever held in our memories
Which time does not diminish

Family is in the spirit
More so than the blood
It is in the choices
not the triumphs or failures

To be a father is an act of duty and love
Not always a fact of biology
Not in the blood
