To a hesitant seafarer (Montevideo, Dec 9th, 2010)
I want you to nibble on me
like Nibelungen with their magic rings
like Viking longboats
with their dragon heads
sail out and face my continents
like empire outcasts
in their man-of-war
adrift for months
in quest for spices
(in which I abound)
but finding gold
and palaces of me
my Incan powers
and my Aztec wiz
Charrúan claws
of which I´ve plenty too
and not turn back
to your estranged home
be brave
sail out and conquer
sink oars blinfolded
into tempest seas
risk all for love
like the Brendan saint
on no food but wisdom
and no wine but faith
I am the wine
and you shall get to me
but first abandon
strip of all, set free
forget the taste
of all those bitter libs
poisonous lips
that tasted you before
I am the wine
and I have aged
in oaken years
just for you
