The Fish and The Bicycle

Once upon a time; a fish and a bicycle (A Pike and a bike) fell in love.

The fish's friends all warned her against getting involved with the bicycle, “What does a fish need with a bicycle?”, they said.

The bicycles friends all honked their horns disapprovingly too.

But the fish and the bicycle didn’t care what people thought,

“They don’t know about love”, said the fish swimming, happily, in and out of the bicycles spokes as it rolled along the ocean bed.

The bicycle rang its bell in agreement.

And then before long the fish gave birth to a lot of fish with wheels and handlebars which she thought were wonderful.

“Why they’re a whole new species”, she said, proudly to her boyfriend, “You might call them Fishcycles or Merbikes”.

And the bike was proud of them too.

Then the Fish and the Bike and all their children lived, in a little garage beneath the sea, happily ever after
