High upon a tall green hill
grows a golden daffodil.
In the wind, it sways and swings
and, like a golden bell, it rings.

goes the daffodil.

Through the countryside, its heard
by every honey bee and bird
and, when it rings, they hum and sing
to celebrate the coming spring.
