Sadly, a sleeping child must wake;
tranquility must pass;
sadly, a soap bubble must break
that looks like gleaming glass.
Gentle perfection cannot stay;
its dancing stillness rests.
But then comes a child’s joyous laughter;
then that funny bubble goes POP;
and there’ll be time for stillness after,
for joy and stillness never stop.
