The Little Moon Maid

There came a little moon maid
with shining silver skin
and she, a pretty tune played,
upon her violin.

 

And nobody was able,
who heard it, not to dance;
even the chairs and tables
danced with the pots and pans.

 

Infact all of the children
who lived within the town
followed her up the hill then
they followed her back down.

 

But then that little moon girl;
back homeward, had to fly
so sitting on a moon pearl
floated up to the sky.
