A Mouse and a Cat

A mouse and a cat

made a house from a hat;

a big, velvet hat of green.

“It’s the loveliest house”,

said the cat to the mouse,

“That I think I have ever seen”.

But, just then, the wind blew

and, away, the hat flew,

landing right at the top of a tree.

“Never mind”, said the mouse,

“For we’ll find a new house;

a much lovelier house; you’ll see”.
